The "Spanish Dancer" is a 37-foot MacGregor sport catamaran with a capacity of 12 passengers, perfect for small groups. What To Expect
Planet Dolphin
Your 4 hour coastal cruise will depart from Marina Pez Vela. Board the catamaran and cruise into the open sea, in search of spotted dolphins, migrating humpback whales, sea turtles and manta rays. Sail along the coastline of Manuel Antonio National Park and enjoy views of the mysterious islands, jagged cliffs and unique rock formations. Catch a glimpse of numerous species of marine birds, including magnificent frigates, pelicans, yellow footed boobies and white ibises.
While touring the coastline, the captain will hoist the sails, wind permitting, and you will enjoy the feel of the catamaran cutting quietly through the blue waters of the Pacific. Your guides will be ready to answer any questions you have, while giving a brief history of the area. After touring the coastline, anchor in a protected cove within the pristine Biesanz Bay for a snorkeling adventure in the warm pacific waters.
Observe the underwater playground. Masks, snorkels and fins will be provided. See numerous species of colorful tropical fish. Afterwards, come back on board and enjoy a delicious buffet meal of grilled fresh fish brochettes with onion and green peppers, pasta salad with vegetables, homemade pesto sauce, fresh tropical fruit, homemade flan, the freshest Costa Rican coffee, cocktails and natural fruit drinks. Discover the true meaning of the word paradise as you relax and enjoy the Pura Vida ("pure life") in this beautiful bay surrounded by the lush green landscape and the soothing sounds of the ocean. Finally, enjoy your scenic journey back to the Quepos dock. If you have chosen a summer afternoon departure, you may even be able to view a dramatic sunset on the way back to shore as an added bonus.

Relaxing and fun for teens !

We enjoyed our trip with planet Dolphin! At first we were concerned about having such a large boat with so many people. But the boat has so much room to spread out and we never felt cramped. The fish and veggie kabobs and salad were fresh and tasty ! Drinks offered the entire trip and my family loved the slides. All in all a great way to spend a morning !

What a fabulous experience. We had 10 people on the private charter. The perspective of the park and the land from the water is beautiful. The snorkeling and equipment was good. We had fantastic up close view of dolphins. The grilled fish for the meal was very tasty. Alonso and Wilson are very good at their jobs and made us feel special. Finally, the sunset from the boat is gorgeous.

Our family, ranging from 9yo to 70yo loved this. Beautiful scenery. Plenty of adventure for the kids - slides, jumping from the upper deck but also fine to just sit and enjoy the view. Food was very good.

We had the most amazing experience with the Planet Dolphin crew. The boat was beautiful and well maintained, the views were stunning, and the food was absolutely delicious. This was the highlight of our trip, we’ll never forget it!

When dealing with wildlife you must realize that the wild life dose not read the tour companies marketing material. And second, the crew works for tips.. If you are expecting dolphins or whales, believe me if they are there the Dolphin crew will find them.. They have a vested interest in making you happy. From the front desk with Ivana to the ships crew, they aim to please.
Spectacular wedding party excursion

We were in Manuel Antonio for a destination wedding and selected the private catamaran sunset tour as the excursion the day before the wedding. The level of communication before the event and the ease of booking was great. The staff on board and the food were even better. We were a group of 50 guests and every single guest had an amazing time. They asked if we had a play list that we wanted and when we didn’t, they had an enjoyable mix of songs. Our age range was 22-87 and throughout the 3.5 hours there were non stop smiles. We followed several pods of dolphins and even had a brown-footed booby that sat on our roof for awhile as our navigator. When we stopped in the bay we were allowed the opportunity to jump off the second story deck or use the water slide and many of us did both. I would pass on the snorkeling and just spend time around the boat as the snorkeling wasn’t very good. They did have all of the equipment and we tried but weren’t successful finding the fish. We felt very safe in everything we did and the crew were all very friendly and accommodating. And the food was very satisfying. I can’t say enough about how we were treated. Thank you Planet Dolphin
