The mangrove forest is one of the most vital and astounding ecosystems in the world. Damas Island, located just 10 minutes from Manuel Antonio is currently one of the most important remaining mangroves in Costa Rica. Covering thousands of acres of protected forest, this amazing biodiversity is home to a large number of birds, reptiles, mammals and insects.

Our experienced guides will take you on an unforgettable boat tour through the channels of the mangrove forest, far away from civilization. You can discover an abundance of species native to the area such as white-faced monkeys, anteaters, boas, iguanas, birds and thousands of colorful crabs.

Fabulous experience, could not be happier! Our guide was Nazareth (Naza?), she was terrific, so knowledgeable and friendly. I chose this company specifically because they do not feed the monkeys, like others do to lure them to the boats. No need to feed them, they're everywhere, you will see them! We were able to see a Jesus lizard run across the water, found a tiny hummingbird nest, saw all kinds of reptiles, and spotted a sloth too. The lunch was SO good. I think this tour company is underrated. We had a great time, and have referred many others to them already. Thank you for helping us make precious memories!
Great animal spoting experience and nice boat tour

Our guide, Michelle, made our experience were really great. She and the boat driver let us spot a great n├║mero of animals, most of them amazing ones. We were able to see sloths, snakes, crocodiles, birds, monkeys among others.
Something you canтАЩt do or see every day

We spent two hours touring through the mangrove with Royvin Arce who was our guide, and Jan, who was our boat driver. Roy was very Knowledgeable about many of the spices and vegetation in the mangrove and we spotted several iguanas lizards monkeys reptiles and cool birds. The boat tour itself was relaxing and felt safe and Jan navigated our 3 hour tour through the swamp high tide like a captain at sea. My wife and 2 children (22 and 15) had a great time because itтАЩs not something we get to do or we get to see every day, My son even got to play with a snake courtesy of Roy! The complementary lunch afterwards was actually tasty and filling.
Amazing boat tour

Would definitely recommend this tour. Eduardo, our tour guide and Jeff, the boat driver made the trip very enjoyable. We were able to see many of the Costa Rican animals throughout the boat ride and enjoyed a great lunch after. If you are visiting Costa Rica and looking for a fun boat tour this is the place to go!

Great tour -our guide Roy with Jade tours was very informative and good
He did not feed the monkeys and knew it was wrong to do that yet when we parked we had a bunch of white faced moneys playing literally on the rooftop of the boat
- we also saw the Jesus Christ Lizzard and a sloth and blue heron and many other birds .The lunch at the end at a local restaurant Gave you a choice of chicken or fish and was delicious fresh local Costa Rican food .
great trip for families

Augusto is a superhero!

Saw lots of birds and lizards, plus bats, a 2 toed sloth, and white-faced monkeys. Danny (the guide) was knowledgeable and friendly. Augusto, our captain, went above and beyond: when our daughter dropped her glasses in the water, he dove in after them! When he didnтАЩt find them, he got a mask and dove again! He found them the second time, and brought them to us at breakfast. Our hero!
Quepos Mangrove tour, guide was very knowledgeable, helpful, and observant.

A very tranquillo tour but plenty of good animals, birds, monkeys, lizards and more. It was slow quite way of touring through the water and mangroves.
Reasonably good!

Could have been better!
The boat tour was just 1.5hrs which was initially thought to be longer. This was followed by a lunch. We were picked up promptly from the hotel. Our guide was excellent. Due to lower water levels, we had to return prematurely. Overall it was a nice and new experience. Got to see snakes, monkeys, lizards and birds.
