Great time with Glen and his crew! He was an excellent teacher and his crew was great. He was very patient and careful with the kids. His wife was very friendly and helped us order lunch from a restaurant and brought food to us on the beach. Rental surfboards we’re only $10 for as long as you wanted to use them. We had such a great time at lessons that we came back the next day. He is by the bus stop and they will watch your stuff while you have lessons. There are lots of vendors and some shady characters around so don’t leave your stuff unattended. We saw a sloth and monkeys at that area of the beach. Great day!
First surfing experience was amazing

My girlfriend and I booked surf lessons online the night before. We chose Glen’s business because of the lower-end price of the lessons, the convenient pick-up and drop off (even though we had a car), and because of the positive reviews. We weren’t splurging much on our trip and this turned out to be a very affordable highlight!
At precisely 9am, Glen (owner and former pro) arrived at the hotel and drove us to the beach. Oscar was our instructor for our first-ever surf lesson (which was semi-private - just the two of us). Oscar was endlessly patient, encouraging, and catered to different levels of ability very well. The fruit and water during the break was a nice touch and well-earned.
We both got up on our second attempt, and had a blast over the hour+ of catching waves.
After the lesson, they let us catch our breath and hydrate at their tent while we planned our afternoon, and good-guy-Glen even stopped at the grocery store on the way home so we could grab food for our lunch.
I absolutely recommend Glen’s team for surfing in M-A (or Quepos) area! We’re excited to try surfing again in the future.

Glen, Angie, and their team are amazing! They helped take care of everything while we were on the beach. Their tent was easy to find from the main road (618). Once we arrived, they watched our bookbags and kept an eye on our things while we got in the water. They were very patient with our group of 4 (2 guys, 2 girls) who were all beginner surfers. Their clear instructions helped us catch lots of waves, stay safe, and have fun in the water. After our lesson, they had fresh fruit and cold water ready for us. They rented chairs and umbrellas for very reasonable prices and they even gave us restaurant and parking recommendations. We had such a great time, that we went back a second day, even though we hadn't planned on it. They helped make our vacation even better.

We met Glen on the beach at his tent. It was very easy to find. He was an amazing teacher and had us out in the water catching waves in no time. Very safe and professional. Would do lessons with him again.

Great company who was very patient and easy to work with, even when we accidentally gave the wrong location to pick us up. Sebastian was my instructor and did a great job with the lesson. It was a lot of fun and easier than expected to get up and ride some waves. Great way to spend a few hours on the beach.

We had the best time with these guys! They got all of us up and surfing in no time and even let us boogie board when we were done. The kindest, funniest group of guys. This is my first time writing a review on here because they were that good!!!

One of the best surf lessons I’ve ever taken. Great experience all around. It was the first time for both my kids and they were able to get up and bath a wave almost right away. The entire family had a blast. We then had a cabana on the beach and free use of Bougie boards for the rest of the day. Glen was a fabulous instructor and his lovely wife brought us drinks and lunch from a beach restaurant which was also fabulous. A truly great experience and we will definitely book Glen for an entire day of surfing the next time we are in Costa Rica

My husband Josh and I took surf lessons with Sebastian and had the best time! He was a great teacher and enjoyed his company. We also had the pleasure of meeting Glen and his wife Angelina, who were very friendly and accommodating while we stayed at the beach. If you are staying near Manuel Antonio, we highly recommend!! Their hospitality is above and beyond! Thank you Glen, Angelina, and Sebastian! We hope to meet again soon.
Highlight of the trip in Manuel Antonio for our teens

My teens ages almost 15 and 16.5 rated their experience with Glenn and his crew a 10 of 10. They picked my boys up at our hotel and returned them safety. The boys had the best time and both were successful in actually surfing their very first time trying it. Highly recommend this experience for families with teens - only wish I could have had seen pictures as we didn’t joint them. Definitely a highlight of their trip!
